Chirpy

You may have noticed a helpful chap posting to a number of forums (e.g. the cPanel Forums) under the pseudonym of Chirpy. That would be me, Jonathan Michaelson, one of two people behind this site (ConfigServer) as well as Way to the Web.

As a bit of background:

I have been actively employed as a server administrator since, ooh, 1988 - Such a long time ago now. I've been employed by some large corporations such as AT&T Istel, Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and Compaq as a server administrator on many and various platforms. I've been solely concentrating on web server administration on Linux since 1998 when my partner and I set up our own hosting, CGI scripting and server administration business Way to the Web Limited.

We decided in 2004 that it was about time that I put my knowledge to some good use and having gained some indepth knowledge of cPanel, Exim and having long used and configured MailScanner started offering the packages you see here today.

Oh, and why Chirpy and why the logo? Well, we registered the domain chirpy.com many moons ago. The name came from a stuffed chick lovingly given by Jonathan to his partner at the time of their marriage. We own various pets including parrots and English Bull Terriers (hence the logo). Currently, we host pictures of our latest trouble maker, which if you're desperate, you can take a look at over on flikr.
